Does anyone know how much is the ferry and where you take it to cross over to Sicily by car?

You can take a long (like overnight) ferry from, I think it's Salerno or Naples, and it's more expensive.  We've always driven down to Reggio (takes 6-8 hours due to lots of construction and a couple kids in the car, but it's inexpensive because no tolls south of Naples) and taken the 20 minutes ferry just across the straight to Messina and it's only cost about 35 euro for the car and people abaord (roundtrip).

If I remember correctly it was 35 euro if you bought a round trip ticket with a return date of no more than three days.  If you plan on staying longer, return within 60 days, it will be 55 euro. That was for myself and three other people on Bluvia, but by looking at my last receipt, it was not broke out by pax.
