Where exactly youre trying to go? or what do you need help with?

I wish to go to a lot of differnt places, I would just think that it would be more beneficial to have a local agent that is familiar with travel throughout Europe.  One could utilize their connections and experience.  Travel agents typically get to visit places that they recommend. In addition to knowing how to book the best deals.  Do you think my thinking is flawed?

My wife and I have traveled up and down Italy and never used a travel

agent or booked any hotels.  Have car

Italy.  It contains all the information

you would need. Or you can get specific books of Naples with Pompeii & the

Amalfi Coast, or Venice & the Veneto, or Rome or Florence &

Tuscany.  Some of these trips can be a

one day trip or a trip over the weekend or an extended trip over the numerous 3

and 4 day holiday weekends. Hotels are no problem depending on the type of

hotel you want.  Sometimes we would get

off the Autostrata and follow the brown signs indicating the names of hotels

and the star rating.  There is always a

room at the inn.  During our travels on

the Autostrata we would stop at the AutoGrill. 

They had a fine selection of different meals and salads, or just coffee

and a pastry if that’s all you want. 

Read up on what is available here in Italy and got for it.  Who needs a travel agent?

Mike is right!, go to reviews.com or Google it or yahoo it if you prefer. But do not go that road, you will end pay more money for the same thing that you could do. I did that 3 years ago, and really I did waist my money once. But hey everybody learn right. Well I recommend looking for yourself.

The USO on Support Site has a Travel Agent who comes to the office 3 days a week. Its worth a shot.
